After even MORE hard work this newest gift box design is complete! This was by far my most ambitious design, and only 40 will be available. Everything was designed from scratch, inspired by the original Coastal Defender toy from 1987. The box has the ability to transform back and forth between display mode (pictured here) and box mode. In box mode it can hold up to nine packs. You can buy the box on it’s own, or you can buy it loaded up with all of the packs so far too! Which makes a remarkable gift, documenting the G.I. Joe ARAH series from 1982-1987.

After a lotta hard work the 1987 packs are now available in the GIJOE365 ONLINE STORE. I did the smart thing of producing both packs at the same time so you can save on shipping and not have to wait! Each 1987 packs is filled with a whopping 25 cards, and some stickers! This brings the total amount of unique figure cards up to 152, capturing every single figure created for the G.I. Joe ARAH line from 1982-1987 so far. Head over to the store and take a look at the CARD PACKS SECTION!

You may remember my previous gift box design - The AMMO CRATE BOX, well I am following that up with this next limited edition gift box: The Sarcophagus. You can get The Sarcophagus Box ON IT'S OWN, or LOADED UPwith all seven current packs of cards.

I’m excited to announce this wacky CONTEST I dreamt up! In the past few weeks I ended up planning out every single figure that will be featured on all the forthcoming card packs! Part of the way I choose the figure was to try and get a good range of COLOURS across the entire collection of card pack wrappers.

YOUR challenge? To see if you can guess which figures I ended up choosing!

THE PRIZE: a full FLAGG Magnet Set (8 vehicle magnets + USS FLAGG poster - $25 value)

WHY am I doing this? Well. Two main reasons: 1) for FUN! You guys are so supportive of this project I always try to give back in different ways, and this seemed like an interesting way! and 2) to lead in to an exciting new product launch (stay tuned for that).

You can submit your guesses on the CONTESTS page!

Good luck!

Both packs for 1986 are now available! You can see more about them and grab them either on the online store, or locally at Strange Adventures.

My third year at Geequinox in Halifax and second year to have GIJOE365 stuff with me. It's interesting to note that last year I had only started the project a few months before Geequinox and only had the 1982 card packs with me then. It felt really great to have so much more to present this time around. Including the debut of the first part of the 1986 packs!

Speaking of which, those packs are indeed now available in the ONLINE STORE.

2017! Let's DO THIS!

This is my first post of 2017! I know I know, but better late than never, RIGHT?! I figured I would share these stats with you as I push forward into this year of drawings.

As I previously stated, I am not even half-way done with this project, and my end game is all of the work collected into 3 volumes of books. So here you can see just how many actual individual drawings I did for this project throughout the year. Everything from accessories that take 15-20 minutes usually, the figures themselves which on average take around 1.5 hrs, and the vehicle drawings which take the longest, sometimes up to 4 hrs.

I am going to do a full end-of-year report that will be sent out in the next B.L.A.S.T. newsletter (sign up if you haven’t already) that will also show some more detail in the time invested in the project, including design time, which I haven’t even touched on here. Hopefully you find this mildly interesting! And again, thank you for your support.

I have come up with what I think it a really cool and fun way to give you all fun free stuff! You can join B.L.A.S.T.! When you sign up for the newsletter, you are subscribing to "BATTLE LINES", which is the name I have given the newsletter, and thusly become a memeber of B.L.A.S.T. which is the Battle Lines Action Support Team!

My idea here is to recreate the same concept that Hasbro did with the FLAG Points on the back of their packaging. Each newsletter I send out you will be able to collect some points by printing them out and mailing them in and redeem them for such things as: stickers, patches, and other fun stuff!

You can sign up right here on this page in the sidebar (or down below if you are viewing on mobile).

Today is an appropriate day to show my signed comic of GIJOE comic #64, right on the face of Cobra Commander v3 by the man himself Larry Hama!

Appropriate because I just posted figure #113 - Cobra Commander v3 in the armour!

Also, if you don't already know, Larry Hama was a writer for Marvel comics and ALSO the writer of the dossiers / filecards of the Joes! He gave them their personalities!

I had it signed by Larry Hama at Hal-Con 2012.

There is a new video added to the VIDEOS PAGE here on the site. This time showing annotations during the process.

For fun I animated (#103)Lift-Ticket's Tomahawk helicopter! It's not perfect but it was fun to give it a whirl. Perhaps I'll try some more vehicle animations in the future, and perfect the technique!

Posting Wet-Suit v2 marked 100 JOE DRAWINGS. ONE-HUNDRED. Triple digits now! It is kind of surreal to me to hit this mark, and despite having ups and downs and “roadblocks” (hehe) along the way, I still am loving the journey that this project has been taking me on. I still am looking forward SO MUCH to drawing the Joes that are ahead.

I want to take this moment to really thank all of you, both Joe fans, and those who are just fans of my art, who have been supporting me through this. Maintaining motivation (and carving out the time) for such an epic project has been challenging at times and I have learned a lot about myself through doing this, as well as revisiting my childhood to express the feelings of nostalgia I have for my favourite toy line.

As I mentioned above, between Joe fans and non-fans, It’s been really interesting to learn so many little details from the die hard Joe-experts, and concurrently amazing to have the support of those who know nothing about GI Joe but are enjoying this project despite that!

I read every single one of your comments, and feel supported by every one of your likes, favourites, retweets, etc. I would be drawing these regardless of anything, but having your support fills me up, and pushes me along.

The siblings are united! Ahhhhh. *PHEWF!* You can now see all three of the colour-changing figures that were produced in the ARAH series on the CHANGERS PAGE, and change them with the click of a button at your very whim!

May 15th, 2016

I've been looking forward to adding this figure to the collection on the site here, for awhile now! I added Zartan to the CHANGERS PAGE wayyy back during Series 3, and now there Zandar has been added. Go check it out and put the power of the sun in YOUR hands: LET'S GO!

It's finally real! The trading/art cards are a reality. I just finished a great weekend at a local vendor show: Geequinox. This was my first show of the year, and I was so happy and proud to have been able to debut my GIJOE365 Cards at this event. They were received incredibly well and I am very excited to open up orders VERY soon. This week, in fact. Stay tuned, and I just want to say again thank you to everyone for your support in this labour of love.

April 25th, 2016

A lot of people have been supporting and following the development of the cards, but something that I just went ahead and developed without really talking about it was this super fun MAGNET set! I am so happy with how it came out and it was a huge hit at Geequinox this past weekend. Stay tuned for online ordering!

April 6th, 2016

I know it's been a long time comin, but I just want to reiterate that I am still pushing the cards through production, and they should be ready very soon. Just still viewing proofs and test prints and trying to dial in the quality.

If you want to keep informed on when exactly the cards and prints are available, and how to get them, you can follow the social media associated with the project and I'll be sure to update. However the best way is probably to sign up for the newsletter (see the sidebar to the right!)

Additionally, if you don't already follow the Facebook Page for the project, you can see an album of photos specifically dedicated to the development of the trading cards!

March 19th, 2016

The trading cards are in full production "swing." I'll be viewing some test prints next week. Worth noting is that I actually went back and redrew all 16 pairs of feet on the Series 1 Joes I did so that there is more cohesiveness across the entire series of illustrations.

If you want to keep informed on when, how, and where the cards and prints are available, you can followed the social media associated with the project and I'll be sure to update, but the best way is probably to sign up for the newsletter (see the sidebar to the right!)

Additionally, if you don't already follow the Facebook Page for the project, you can see an album of photos specifically dedicated to the development of the trading cards.
